SUB-WEAPON COMBO BACKWARDS JUMP KNOCKBACK BOOST
The axe, holy water, and cross are capable of hitting multiple enemies for 1, 2, and 4 thousand point bonuses. You can make use of combos for easy extends. Pressing jump and moving in the opposite direction on the same frame will result in a backwards jump. The knockback effect from receiving damage can be utilized during a jump to move upwards through platforms, or across to otherwise unreachable platforms.
HITBOX CANCEL STUN LOCK CRITICAL HIT
Enemies will lose their hitboxes when they overlap with a sub-weapon. This allows you to pass through enemies with a holy water, or crosses in some cases. Enemies will also be frozen in place while overlapping a sub-weapon. With the holy water and a rapid shot power-up, enemies can be stun locked completely. If Simon takes damage one frame after his whip hitbox spawns, the whip hitbox will stay on the screen longer, causing four or five additional hits.

BREAKABLE BLOCKS BONUS TREASURE HARD MODE
There are many items that are hidden within the castle structure itself. These can be uncovered by demolishing the fragile segments with your whip. These are revealed by contacting specific areas. Sometimes it also requires kneeling, pushing against a wall, or waiting a few seconds for the item to appear. The game will restart after the staff roll. This mode increases the damage you receive, changes the frequency and timing of enemies, and adds more secrets.
